stadium may run of beer

Not worried. Done right...you don't need stadium beer after tailgating all day.

19 degrees and windy who in their right minds would be thinking about having a cold beer? You'd have to be…oh, forgot about the Badger Fans. My bad, never mind.

Love of beer isn't simply a badger thing. MN has many breweries proving MN loves their beer just as much. http://mnbeer.com/breweries/ I think a Schells snowstorm or something similar may be a nice beer for the day.

If 10,000 Badger fans show up, I figure each of them will consume around 15 beers each since they're raging alcoholics. That's 150,000 beers right there. It's definitely possible.

I think your calculations are off. The children are only able to put away about 5 each (being small and all) so that brings the total way down.

Are we cutting them off mid way through the 2nd?

Final UW game day stats: 16 people cited/arrested...40 people ejected...highest BAC was .287. Thanks, Badgers, for a safe game!

This is true, but is your calculation (Normal Raging Alcoholic Adult)*15 + (Normal Raging Alcoholic Child)*5 = beers consumed? Because if so, you forgot the 1.75x WIObesity multiplier

College students getting drunk? What's next, pre-marital sex?

They would be smart to transform a few of the beer stations into hot chocolate stations Saturday.

hopefully they have more than the dozen cups of hot chocolate they had during the last cold game...I believe they ran out in the 2nd quarter which made me lol

Alcohol and divorce seem to run rampant in Skunksville. Hmmm. I wonder why the two have such a bond.

Don't think you've ever been to a Penn State or Iowa game.

Wasn't aware that they had to install breathalyzers in Happy Valley or at Kinnick.

Come on, you've got a fine football team and a well deserved reputation of having the most loutish and drunken fans in the B1G. Own 'um both!

The breathalyzers are only for season ticket holders (obviously usually students) who have previously been kicked out of a game. Penn State is actually quite famous for their recent student binge drinking problems if you haven't been paying attention.

Obviously Wisconsin fans are in the upper echelon of drunkenness but to pretend they're in another class entirely is naive. Then again I suppose I'd rather have drunken obnoxious fans than one's who can't be bothered to fill a 50k stadium

No reason to be so modest, nobody outside of Madison believes that you're going to give up the crown of miserable fans to Penn State. They're pikers compared to the low-lifes who inhabit to much of Badger Fandom. No matter how good that very good football team of your's becomes, you can count on that reputation of your's standing.

"Eat Shat! Get F*ed!" Indeed. ;)

Drunken Badgers have amassed such a glorious history of harassing visiting fans—there was that time they threw glass beer bottles at a 7-year-old—that UW became the nation's first school to install Breathalyzers at the gate. With their "Show and Blow" program (again: their name, not ours), the university requires breath checks of any student previously booted from a game for an alcohol violation. And fans aren't the only ones blowing. The entire 300-member marching band was suspended for one game in 2008 due to repeated incidents of alcohol abuse and—wait for it—sexualized hazing."

Honest question. Have you ever been to Camp Randall?

Honest question. Have you ever been to Camp Randall?

Yeah. The first for a West Virginia/Badger game. We were sitting right next to the Student Section. There were a crew of 7-8 year old football players sitting behind us with to chaperones/coaches. When the infamous "Eat/Get" chant was started the kids looked pretty confused and the Dads didn't say anything. I turned around and said that "you had to be a Season Ticket Holder to say that." The little guy said "Oh" and passed the word down. Dad leaned down and said "Thanks". Said he didn't know that Camp Randall was "R"- rated.

People around us kept apologizing for the Students too. They seemed decent. Told them compared to some of the Badger fans that show-up at the Dome the crowd was pretty mild.

So you were fortunate to experience the best college sports town in the country! (according to Sports Illustrated, USA Today, and Scott Van Pelt of ESPN) I'm happy for you.

You posted 2 bleacher report articles (lol) an article from the Ohio State student newspaper, and an article about the ESFU chant. If swearing is really a big issue for you, that's adorable I guess you must think Duke, UNC, and Kansas basketball fans are horrible too.

The "buckyville' link is a forum discussing the Ohio State student newspaper article...

You looked huh? Honestly more that I did. Didn't know you were so serious about coming over here to protect your "reputation". More concerned about thrown bottles and Breathalyzers then swearing but your own fans, hey and YOU, seem pretty defensive about the behavior. Expected more of a "Yeah, we've got some bad actors" instead of a pretty pointless protest.

Or even a sense of humor, which is how this stuff started.

Tell you what why don't so go to all the B1G fan boards and ask them what they think about those "clean-living", "sober", sportsmanlike Badger Fans...

Find me where I said that. Of course Badger fans are drunk and rowdy. I'm just saying that pretending they're somehow leagues beyond other college fanbases is lazy and inaccurate.

There, that wasn't so hard was it? Oh, the subject was in the Big Ten, not "leagues beyond". Only Iowa can give you a run there.
