Stadium announcer clearly audible 2 miles away!

Well that interesting since I was INSIDE the stadium in Section 101, and could not hear or understand what he was saying.

Emma Quinlan Connolly says: "Like, get over yourself. We live in the city; just deal with it."

Gosh, and here I thought our Bronko Nagurski Gopher was a guy. :cool02:

"I go to the back deck to sit, and I can still hear and understand that man's hollering. The sound of the crowd is not so bad ... only occasionally a low roar, one could work on imagining that it is the sound of the sea, but this loud, yelling man ... we must stop him," wrote St. Anthony resident Sue Conner.

What was left out of the article was this picture, taken of the folks of St. Anthony Village, just after halftime...Sue Connor is shown here to the right, wearing an apron she had intended to be wearing while gardening last evening, before the 'loud, yelling man' spoiled her evening. She pointed out later that she also was unable to watch "Murder, She Wrote" due to the noise, and thus, will never know for sure if Wilford Brimley really was innocent, or if Angela Lansbury was just full of crap again.

hey funny guy rick......mons.......

PISS (something tells me that you probably sit down to do that) OFF! :cool02:

Sorry that intended effort at humor offended you, Bronko. After you've told a number of fans to "deal with it" and quit whining, I thought you'd be amused.

Here I thought you didn't take yourself too seriously -- just as you admonish others. Apparently not.

Again, my apology for offending you. I'll bear in mind your sensitivity to those kinds of things in future posts.

no, i got your ATTEMPT at what you called "humor" just fine. and generally i don't take my self too seriously. honestly, the only reason that i even replied was because i notice that you like to take a certain - and somewhat annoying - preachy (maybe call it fatherly) tone when you reply to me on GH. i also notice that you don't do it with many others. so i guess i am a personal favorite of the world famous g'holer rick mons to garner such honored attention! horray for me! ;)

anyways, your attempt to reply back in the usual "what! who me?" manner that you generally use was rather predictable.

that being said. i will say good night my number #1 fan rick.....i am hitting the hay now! ;)

One can only imagine what a dried up old hag "Sue Conner" is

I see her plight, but she is just going to have to deal with it.

Dont worry... eventually the word will get out that this will happen each fall about seven times a year. the people who simply cant stand it will move to north dakota, where there isnt noise..... and a more understanding type will move in who can handle about 28 hours worth of noise a year.

They can make some adjustment but it was a still night, virtually no wind. How often is that going to happen in Minnesota? There's only going to be a game or two played at night so as problems go it should be pretty minor.

But it does confirm a statewide trend, no matter how well things seem to be going someone, somewhere is pissed-off about it!:blah::banghead:

Tear it down and move them back into the dome. That is the ONLY solution.

I completely understand the complaints. I mean I can hear the PA announcer at the high school football game on Friday nights from my house I can't even think it is so loud. How am I suppose to watch Big Ten Friday Night Tailgate with that racket? :blah:
