50 players listed in program (Jimmy Gjere not listed), 34 on scholarship, 16 walk-ons
Are any walk-ons now on scholarship?

Any changes needed?

I am working on defense.

I thought someone said Brandon haney was no longer on the team. At any rate, Ferguson has been using the number 70 exclusively all spring.

Number 80

Xzavian Brandon did play WR the entire scrimmage mostly (if not all) on the Alipate-led squad. Actually, he got hurt toward the end of the session.

I was particularly focused on him because he's from Atlanta (Duluth, a suburb) like me.

That's the correction that I can offer.

Thanks for compiling.

That wasnt Xavian Brandon

Number 80 was Matt Kloss of Coon Rapids. Brandon wont suit up until fall and seems to be recovering nicely from his injuries. Channel 11 got it wrong too.

Has Brandon been able to work out? After a couple years of injuries even if he is healthy it will be hard to count on him for much. Hard to imagine crisp route running and athleticism for a while.

Yeah, Brandon did not play. It was walk-on Kloss who wore #80, made a couple of catches, and then got dinged. Brandon is still recovering from injury. Sidenote - not only is he from Duluth, GA, but he attended the same high school as Ralph Sampson III.

Thanks

Thanks for the correction.

Kloss saw a fair amount of action. Hopefully for him and the team the coaches saw something.

Go Gophers!
