I've never heard of this website, but it's nice to see some positive vibes from a Big Ten website for a change. Pretty good recap of the spring and very optimistic season outlook. Do read if you want your recommended daily serving of Kill koolaid.

8-4 record?
Hell yeah!

It appears there may be a rather high alcohol content in Mr. Anderson's koolaid.

I don't know about the 8-4 record but the writer definitely did his research. They gotta do something about that white text on a black background because half way through it was killing my eyes.

I will have what the writer is having.

Yes, we don't want to be too positive! This IS Minnesota.

I did like that he used the picture of my right hand about to slap Floyd. I'll give him props just for that!

If we end up with all three trophy's and an 8-4 record, I will need plastic surgery to get the smile off my face. The writer also predicted Northwestern would go 10-2. Who knows, obviously he is giving his best case scenarios, but he does sound like he knows the BIG well and offers plenty of common sense.

Um, ok... so why in our preview do they have us picked to beat Michigan and N'Western, and in their two previews they're picked to beat us? They are all written by different people, but it kind of seems like they're all written really optimistic just to get page views. N'Western is picked to finish 10-2.

They have a favorable schedule, probably the easiest it is going to be for awhile. They could easily go 4-4 in the big ten and end up 7-5.

I could live with 8-4, although I think 6-6 is more likely (and still very optimistic).

This. When was the last time that we held the Pig, Jug and Axe simultaneously??? Unbelieveably optimistic, but man does it make me want the season to start tomorrow. Love it.

I've been playing NCAA Football 11 using the Northern Illinois playbook. I'll have to see if anyone has created next season's roster yet.

According to the infallible source of Wikipedia, the last time we held the Pig, the Jug, and the Axe at the same time was 1967. We have only had the Jug 3 times since 1967. We came very close in 1986, holding the Jug and the Axe, but we lost to Iowa that year by 3 points, 30-27. And then in 2005, we held the Pig and the Jug, and if not for a certain blocked punt, would have had the Axe as well.:(
