The following was in Sid's column this morning in the paper

Improved grades at U

"The Gophers football team might have set an academic record this past semester, when 60 of the 93 players received a 3.0 or better grade-point average."

"Two Gophers had 4.0 GPAs, and seven Gophers had a 3.80 or better GPA."

This appears to be good news but it doen't say if there were any acadmic casualities.

I feel that this nugget is another step for success on Kill's program building guide! He has stressed numerous times that they need to do the right things off the field (conditioning, weights, classroom, etc) before they can succeed and have discipline on it.

He has also tied these principles into his "Uncommon" theme.
