per the Sporting News:
Riley and Fitzgerald, who enters his 10th season at Northwestern, are generally-recognized as two FBS class acts. Minnesota’s Jerry Kill, Penn State’s James Franklin, Rutgers’ Kyle Flood and Purdue’s Darrell Hazell aren’t far behind.
All six coaches took turns at the podium Friday. All six coaches are well-spoken, well-respected and for the most part, well-liked. All six coaches do and say the right things almost all the time.
“I think when you attach yourself to a brand like the Big Ten and you play in what we believe is the premiere athletic, academic conference in the country and in the most competitive division in all of college football,” Flood said. “You're recruiting the right kind of players. They want to play that kind of football.”
There’s nothing wrong with being a nice guy, but you know how the saying goes. None of those coaches have won an outright conference championship as a head coach at the FBS level. They aren’t finishing last, however.
