Now I know in the last couple weeks there have been threads talking about how we beat USD & NIU matters, right? Well...we didn't but in all aspects of the game Northwestern is clearly the better team. I don't necessarily think losing this game itself will cause more turmoil & heartache among "Gopher Nation" but I do feel that *IF* we lose then *HOW* we lose will be the key factor among perception of the football team & Brewster...

If we play a good game and end up losing a close one but show signs of improvement I don't think the backlash of simply losing will be as bad as NIU or USD...

But should we get smacked around, turnovers, let NW move up & down the field at will then I truly believe the ending result amongst the fans & critics will be worse then NIU & USD...

Good point my friend.

However, with Northwestern's mobile and accurate quarterback, the fact that our linebackers get blocked to easy, and Northwestern's OK defense I see an ugly one brewing.

Pun intended?

Getting destroyed will not be a surprise. A 'moral victory' is not where this team should be and should not be acceptable.

100% pass plays against us = 100% winning percentage. We... are... awful...

I think Brewster's run out of moral victories, but if we play a solid game that shows some improvement and hope for the future, it won't be as painful as NIU or South Dakota.
