per AL.com:
After losing 66-48 at Illinois State, Southern Illinois' basketball team faced a weather setback on their way back home.
The team is stuck on I-57 in due to getting stuck after blinding snow and will have to stay overnight, according to ESPN.
The driver pulled over to the side of the road in hopes that he would be able to get back on the road after the heavy snow passed, but there was no such luck.
When the highway cleared, the bus was stuck.
A tow truck cannot get to the bus because the interstate is closed due to the storm.
"They're warm,'' said athletic director Mario Moccia. "They've got enough gas and food on the bus. The worst-case scenario is they will be there until the highway opens. They'll have to wait for a tow-truck to pull them out."
