Fedora would not be a bad hire

Hearing his name is in the mix and the media is on to it, so that gives me solace that it will not be Edsall.
 


Fedora has a winning record as a HC and has been an OC at Florida and Oklahoma State.

I'm good with Fedora. Nobody wins when they have to go into Southern Mississippi and try to beat the Eagles. Plus, it's Favre's alma-mater so you know our players will be good with technology.
 

My thought is that this is the final round interviews.

Fedora fits the bill given he has 4 kids, toddlers to teens.

If I had to guess, he's the guy.

There's worse hires but not the guy I wanted.
 

There better be a clause in his contract that he is NEVER allowed to wear glasses like these again.

As I posted in another thread -- I will always rather be right than first. If they go hand-in-hand, great... but only posting stuff I/we get from those that we feel like are credible sources. In other words, those who have helped us plenty in the past, and in one case, for over 25-years (a Schmit contact).
 

For those with GI access...the story is disproved by others. I'm going with ZJ on this one.

My mom just left town. I cannot confirm or deny whether she was interviewed. The one thing we do know is that she has ties in Texas.

Fedora = so so.

He lost the bowl game to Middle Tennessee State. What does that say? Southern Miss plays in C-USA. Not even a real football league. Southern Miss has not finished first since he has been there. Second or third in C-USAWas at FL with Ron Zook, not Urban Meyer. Not a bad recruiter - but that is to a southern school where the kids can stay somewhat close to home.

Not a horrible choice, but I think we can do better.
 

Yeah, but if the U hires Fedora we can all wear Dick Tracy-style gold fedoras with maroon ribbons. And that's almost as cool as Al Golden coaching the Golden Gophers.
