So Brew has 17 lined up (Wills for sure) for LOI day. Any more visits scheduled? How many more can he get to verbal? 6 or 7?

There have been a lot of names bantered around on the Hole that are still looking according to the posters. Does that make anyone skeptical? Are they any silent verbals waiting for their big annoucement day? And if they don't want to become Gophers, does Brew have a few fallbacks waiting for an offer. What's reasonable? Three or four of the name guys to sign and Brew scramble to fill in the rest? Or is he comfortable with where he is at?

There are no other visits currently scheduled, however, they are still trying to convince Ronnie Wingo 4 star LB/RB recruit out of St. Louis to take his last official to Minnesota. They've also started talking to some prep LB's and OT's but I'm not sure where that will go.

Offers pending that have a reasonable chance:
Waiting on McNeal for the AAA game (Jan 3).
Waiting on Carter either at the AAA game or he may do it beforehand.
Waiting on Paige to decide (visited last weekend).
Waiting on Leon to decided (visited last weekend).

Haven't heard from in a while but the door may still open:
Frank Crawford - DB
Roy Philon - DE

Potential to decommit and commit with Gophers:
Nosa Equae - DT Colorado
Sheldon Richardson -DT Missouri
Brett Singleton - LB South Carolina
James White - RB Iowa State

Waiting for offers:
Turmour Battle - CB
Torrey Ball - DT

grunkiejr what data sources do you use to find those players that have the potential to decommit?

There has been much speculation on these players on most recruiting outlets. Richardson in interviews seems not very committed to the recruiting process right now, much less Mizzou. Singleton at one time this fall claimed to be higher on MN than SC, despite his commitment, but has since cooled after his visit up here. Plenty of rumor swirled around Nosa, especially in October when fellow Texan Stephens was pledged to the Gophers and the Maroon'n'Gold were on a tear, and Rivals as recently as last week has hypothzied a high likelihood of his switching to a Gopher signed. All four have continued to consider/visit other campuses after their tentative commitments to their respective programs.

Singleton--who decommitted from SC and committed to the Gophers today, Richardson, and Equae all took official visits to Minnesota even though they had already committed.

James White was just my own guess because we offered him, the coach he committed to left ISU for Auburn, and we are still looking to add one more RB in this class. He is another guy from Dallas Skyline and I know that Brewster was there a few weeks ago although he is also recruiting a Jr. WR from Skyline.
