I completely skipped the Off-Season because I didn't want to fall into anymore "We're Bigger, Faster, Nastier Then Last Year!" crap but what exactly happened to...

Brandon Green
Hayo Carpenter
David Pittman

This year

Pittman graduated last year.

Hayo is the same as last year, invisible.

Green, I'm not sure. After the Purdue lame two years ago, he really seemed to be on the verge of being a very good player. Decker's injuries and Weber's futility certainly didn't help him the past two seasons, but why he has stalled/regressed is a mystery to me. I thought he had some serious talent, so why he fails to get on the field consistently really surprises me.

He really stepped up when Decker got injured in that Purdue game...I thought we really had a 2nd Option that Weber could go to after that...

Then it seemed like McKnight became Weber's #1 Option after Decker was clearly gone...which is crazy because Green had some crucial nice catches in the Syracuse game last year as well. He has hands & decent speed...he also had some nice catches against MSU but it seems like he doesn't get his number called enough. I think I remember a big 3rd Down in the Cal game too.

What has he done this year? I think I seen him on Punt Returns & nothing else against SDU...

Green

Decker didn't get hurt until the Northwestern game, after we went 7-1 at Purdue, so that game he benefited from Decker getting extra attention. Who can forget watching Ralph Spry start, and then seeing Green come in and go 5-102 (or something close) I heard about his injury, thought it was a thing of the past. maybe not?

Who can forget watching Ralph Spry start...

*Shivers*

Let's try to never mention that name again...I almost completely forgot about him as if my subconscious mind blocked all memories of how horrible he played sometimes from my memory...

Spry is the kind of player you get when the previous coach leaves the cupboard bare and three weeks to recruit.

The Cupboard wasn't bare...he left him Decker right? Could you imagine Minnesota without Decker in 2007-2009?

I clearly thought Decker got hurt in the Ohio State game and he did.

I think maybe he means it started in the Northwestern game & wasn't playing 100% after that...

I do however know he played the entire NW game because Weber threw a pick his way on that "dreadful" last play...

I heard someone say that Carpenter turned out to be much slower than expected. I don't know if Pittman is on the team. I'm confused about the absence of Green, because he showed some promise and was a highly regarded recruit.

ummm, Pittman used up his eligibility last year.
