Joel Monroe was fine on kickoffs but i just wonder how many more games we would have won that we lost the last two years had we had Ellestad kicking instead-I am guessing about two more games a year would have been wins-and thats HUGE--extra points alone would have been vastly improved I would think. And wouldnt Ellestad been available for two years? (at least one) Now maybe he has just come into his own but you would think he would have been quite good two years ago.

Please name examples where Monroe lost the game for us because I'm not quite following you.......

Not all his fault but he played a big part in the Northwestern loss last year.

I do remember an easy miss in the 1st Quarter correct? I think the angle was bad like in the Indiana game.......

I think it was actually much later in the game and if he would have made it we would have had the win locked up and not had to try to score late in the game which led to the interception.

If Ellestad is as good as Monroe for the next two years we can count ourselves lucky. The next great kicker will show up on campus next fall.

I am pleasantly surprised thus far with our two new kickers. Both positions are important along with the snapper and holders and all are off to good starts and we could be solid the next two years with punter and FG/KO.

Oreske looks like he's going to be a good one. Very impressed with him. Ellestad has been solid.
