This game breaks a two-game losing streak against FCS teams. It's the most points scored against an FCS team since a 66-10 win over Murray State in 2001, and the largest margin of victory over an FCS team since a 44-0 win over Southwest Texas State in 2004.
This game is the most points scored in a game since a 48-49 OT loss to Northwestern in 2007. The 44 points is the most points scored in a non-overtime game, and the largest margin of victory since a 63-26 win over Indiana in 2006.
The Gophers had only three penalties, and were 11-17 on third down, New Hampshire was only 5-16 on third down.
It's too early to say that the Gophers have turned a corner, but this team looks much improved over where they were this time last year.
