year old guy and his wife together typically have? Maybe someone can line up a beer bong/ diaper for him next fall so he will change his mind.

Since our local pillar of the coummunity, Nick Coleman brought this guy into focus as a fighter for all beer drinkers I am looking for guesses.

I am guessing they together had zero or one beer at most each game.

So he gave up his tickets for this? I cannot wait of the next great Nick Coleman column on shortages of Depends pads at the Walmart in the Midway, or lack of

How many Gopher games does Nick Coleman go to? How many beers does Nick Coleman drink a month?

Why is he speaking for all beer drinkers? Is he now some sort of fighter for the common, blue collar man? Maybe he should just take his Viagra and shut up, and go see Laura B.

WTF, have you had a case of beer tonite Oak?

At 77 its not about the beer or lack of it at TCF. As much as Coleman would like to make it. And the disclaimer they were there in the rain and snow at Memorial Stadium is discounted and matter of pride. When this couple was going to those games, they were in their 40's. Nick the real reason they are giving up the tickets, they are 77 and don't want to be outside. I don't blame them. Its not the beer, its the fact that over the past 20 some years they have gone soft. And they don't want to cut it. Again at 77 I don't blame them, but to use beer as a divider among Gopher fans is shameful. Wake up Nick, you can bring anything you want into TCF. Its outdoors. Field pants, Carhart Coats, Boots are not only necessary to stay dry and warm, but also provide numerous caveties to carry that beverage or beverages of choice with you. If you are experienced and placement is studied you can carry cans, flasks with out detection. Maybe not an unlimited supply, but how many beers are you going to drink at the game?

Husker..you made me laugh

I thought the same thing when I read Nickolai Colemanoff's column! Even now, I don't think it's fair, but life's not fair. Personally, I fall in the category of the beer category of 0-2 per game, so it doesn't bother me in the least, no matter what the outcome.
You were spot on about the real factor of not renewing season tickets. It's ok to be 77 and admit that you don't want to deal with the elements. It's been a good run. Continue to watch the Gophers on the tube when you can. Buy a single game ticket on the spur of the moment when it's an October day in the 60's. It's all good.
You know, 20 years ago, I used to hang out at Williams Pub. Being in my mid 40's, I don't feel comfortable at Williams Pub. Let me just say to the folks at Williams Pub, "I'm not going to your establishment anymore! I don't like the way they dance!" Yeah, that's the ticket!;)
