Last week's game can't do anything to hide my giddiness for the game tomorrow. It's USC!
Think about all the games you've watched on TV growing up. All the USC & Notre Dame games or the USC in the Rose Bowl games in the 80s. Just seeing the Song Girls, hearing their band play the same two songs over & over & over & over.
The names in the 80s & 90s: Rodney Peete, Ricky Ervins, Todd Marinovich, Johnny Morton, Junior Seau, Mark Carrier, Erik Affholter et. al. Play after play made, followed by the USC band playing their one of two songs, but loudly. The sounds of college football.
I was fortunate to see USC in the Rose Bowl when they blasted Illinois. Seeing them tomorrow is going to be a treat for everyone there tomorrow. Just as seeing Alabama in 2004 in the Music City Bowl was a treat to us there, never mind Spencer Pennington being Bama's starting QB.
College football: this is what the college game will always hold over it's professional counterpart. The anticipated history of matchups. This was from the wearesc board They have fans that understand the history behind this matchup.
