It's a small sampling, but so far the early returns indicate the Big East indeed is the best conference.
Here's how the BCS conferences are faring head to head.
1. Big East (8-2)
2. ACC (5-2)
3. Big 12 (2-2)
4. Big 10 (2-3)
5. SEC (1-4)
6. Pac 10 (1-6)
The Big 10 has a big chance to step up this week. Illinois (Texas A&M?), Iowa (West Virginia, K-State/Kentucky), Michigan State (Maryland, Georgetown/Tennessee?) and Purdue (Boston College, Oklahoma?) all are participating in tournaments where they are likely to meet up with at least 1 (and probably more) fellow major-conference program.
