Digging through football stuff from way back, came across Trib sports section from March 17, 1974 with headline:" 'U' Wins 1st U.S. Hockey Title." Amazing that the great teams of 1953 and '54 didn't win one, especially the '54 squad loaded with talent: Campbell, Dougherty, Mayasich, Yackel. Anyone interested in the '74 sports section, PM me.
