Either way, it fills the place, and fills it with minimal visiting team fans.

I really don't get the whole big campaign to try and keep visiting fans "out" of the stadium.

Why is it so terrible to have visitors come to watch a game in a place that you are supposed to be brand new and a place you are proud of? It should really be a good thing. I love it when the opposing team brings lots of fans to Camp Randall for us to play host to and to show our traditions to. Some are bad, yeah but most are there to openly observe the gameday experience of the school they are visiting. Besides, the game is played on the field, not in the stands, right?

Do you like when they perform disgusting acts in your bathroom and get drunk beyond belief saying how great their team is even though they move to your state because they have nothing else to be proud of from their state? And are they really bringing people to TCF when most of them live in within ten minutes of the stadium. I can accept losing to rivals but shouldn't have to deal with the classlessness of the majority of their fans.

I really don't have a problem with normal opposing fans teams except Iowa and Wisconsin. Ohio St. is barely tolerbale.

Do I like it when people perform disgusting acts in our bathroom? I dunno... if you ask me it's pretty funny and it's only making THEM look bad.

Getting drunk beyond belief and saying how great their team is? Well... I dunno... like it or not, that's sort of what football fans do. I'm sure UM's fans are just as guilty as every team. Not sure you will find many places where fans don't enjoy drinking and cheering for their team.

Saying how great their team is even though they move to your state because they have nothing else to be proud of. Most live ten to fifteen minutes from the stadium?

This is just silly. And untrue. The reason there are lots of fans from Iowa/Wisconsin/ND/SD is because the states are right next to each other and have big highways connecting them to one another. Iowa brings lots of fans to Camp Randall and even Minnesota brings a decent amount. I don't think it has anything to do with a loss in state pride, but rather the opposite. That seems rather obvious to me.

Not completely untrue. There are probably more Iowa alums 15 miles or less from the stadium, than Minnesota Alums in the entire state of Iowa.

This right here only reaffirms my conviction that badger fans and hogeye fans are far more ill-mannered, belligerent, and unpleasant (not individually, but on the whole) than Gopher fans are. regdab, your school has fans who have a reputation of traveling well (insert joke about "I'd take every chance I got to leave wisconsin too" hahaha, blah blah blah) and to be honest, it's something that most Gopher fans are jealous of. But when it comes down to it, too many of you (and hogeye fans are the same way) bring your reputation of drunkenness and arrogance with you.

Couple that with the fact that you've owned us in the wins and losses in the last bunch of years, and you get even more arrogant, loud, and obnoxious. Too many of us have had horrible, horrible experiences with badger and hawkeye fans in Minneapolis, Iowa City, and madison to actually want you guys in our stadium. Again, not all fans are like that, but you can understand why some of us would rather have maroon and gold butts in the seats instead of badger and hawkeye fans.
