Simple Question: Are you more excited for Kill's 3rd year, or Pitino's 1st Year?

Lot's of excitement to share with this question:

Are you more excited for Kill's 3rd year, or Pitino's 1st Year?

No dissertations needed, just your pick.
 

Easily Pitino's debut season, but of course I'm on the Basketball Forum on GH, so perhaps I'm a bit biased toward the fortunes of the hoops program. For the sake of the entire athletics department, however, I hope Coach Kill and team have a great season (the old rising tide lifting all boats adage).
 

Pitino's 1st season because I'm more of a basketball fan, but I'm really looking forward to his 2nd season
 

While both make my pee pee tingle, to be honest I will go with.............................................. ...

XMan, I put it on both boards at the recommendation of GH Admin when I first approached them about the question. Admin thought it was a good one, and by putting it on both boards would result in more feedback.

No problem. My guess.....85% to Pitino on this board and 85% for Kill on the other board.
 





Pitino. So many unanswered questions, but the upside to Pitino's 1st year seems significantly higher than the upside to Kill's 3rd year.
 

It's just like when I was a kid and people asked me my favorite sport - whatever season it was, or whatever I was playing at the moment. So, on Thursday night it will be football.
 







Pitino. I can envision Gopher hoops someday winning a Big 10 title, making a Sweet 16, a Final Four. The Gopher in the Rose Bowl? That requires liquid refreshments.
 



Pitino for sure. It's much easier to build an elite basketball program. Hard to get too excited about the football season when it's pretty much a forgone conclusion that we'll go under .500 in conference play. With that being said, definitely excited for Thursday night.
 



I am excited about Ricco. But Kill & Co have a real shot and turning around the cash driver of our athletic department and regardless of the naysayers, I think 8 wins this year is going to happen and new years day bowl. That kind of success would mean more to the U than Ricco making the NCAAs this year.

Now next year I am expecting Rose Bowl and Sweet Sixteen...lets stop messing around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

Football for now. If Pitino actually starts landing some of these high-end guys, 2014 might be a different story.
 

If Kill got us 8 wins then that would far exceed anything Pitino likely pulls off this year. I'm just not buying that we get to 8 wins, hopefully I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm fully expecting/hoping for 6.

I'll be excited about Gopher Football until about 9/28/13, 3pm Central when reality sinks in like it does every other fall.

It would be a strange time for that to happen, given that Iowa has never won in TCF.
