Read the comments on Devoe on the second page...an AAU coach convinced him he would not be NBA ready under Tubby's system...I don't know who that coach thinks he is, but he must have some sort of payoff.
 

AAU coaches are scum for the most part. What's even worse is that Devoe actually believed him.

I think there's more to it than whatever Ro really said.

Damian Johnson continues to have a great first season with the Oita Heat Devils in Japan, averaging 14.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game. Johnson has appeared in all 31 of the Devils' games, and they are 9-11 on the season.

I guess the 'BJ League' awards wins and losses in a unique way. BTW, I've got him down for 14.5, 8.1 and 27.3 in 33 games. In the regular season they were 15-19... which is 34 games. i.e., he didn't really play in all the Heat Devils games... (see January 12th). Anyway, after almost two weeks off they are back in action this weekend.

After playing two years in Australia, former Gophers forward Rick Rickert is having an up-and-down first year with Ludwigsburg out of Germany. Rickert is averaging just 7.8 points and 3.9 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game, both career lows overseas. He has appeared in 19 of the team's 21 games and is shooting 53.6 percent from the floor.

21 of 23 games, shooting 52.4%, but just 0/1 from 3FG?! Doesn't shoot 'em. 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds... looks like someone may have pulled all the updates in Sid's deal awhile ago.. Ludwigsburg also hasn't played in a week. BTW, the several years 'in Australia' (probably more like four vs. two) Rick actually played in an Australasian league for a team in New Zealand.. and another team in NZ. One of his old teams, the New Zealand Breakers, sits in first place this year behind the 20+ ppg from former Becky player Kirk Penney.. dude is shooting almost 45% 3FG. Penney lobbied to get Rick there in the first place, I think was the story...

PS - all the other player stats in the article are slightly old, but not too bad.

Ro Russell would be my guess. He hates Tubby.
 


NBA ready? Bejesus some of these players really have DILLUSIONS of Grandeur.
