Victory important

If the Gophers can beat Central Michigan in the Quick Lane Bowl on Monday in Detroit, it will set up a great 2016.

The Gophers have a much easier schedule next year, playing their first three games at home against Oregon State (2-10 in 2015), Indiana State (5-6) and Colorado State (7-5) before playing at Penn State (7-5) in the Big Ten opener. Their first real test comes at home against Iowa in their second conference game. But the Gophers don’t play Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State.

And it’s assumed they will have a far healthier team than in their injury-plagued 2015.

Finally, the Gophers will have an excellent recruiting class, to build off their strong 2015 class that saw eight freshmen play this season.

So things will look bright as the calendar turns to 2016.

Go Gophers!!

Reminder: it must have become increasingly difficult for the staff...especially the coordinators to keep an even keel around the team and coaching staff as things became more and more challenging and difficult for Coach Kill in his struggle with his epileptic condition. Things escalated during the season and culminated with the emotionally charged resignation. This was evident in the play of the team. This will not happen in 2016. Everyone loves Coach Kill...players, coaches, fans. But, the changes have been made. The torch has been passed. A few uncertainties remain, but when the 2016 football season starts...there will be real stability in the Gopher Football Program again. The program... the staff... the players are a bit more mature...have gone through a lot together...and will be an experienced, more mature and stable as a result of the 2015 experience. I look for a very competitive 2016 season from TC, his STAFFERS and these PLAYERS As always it will be a battle...there may be ups and downs...but: this is the Big Ten Conference the Gopher plays in. The Gopher is emerging from the 2015 season stronger and with more promise! Win this bowl game Gopher!

I kept on having to go back in their post thinking I re-read a sentence when in fact, I just happen to re-read the same sentence, just typed twice.
Was like trying to read a Dr Seuss book, backwards.

Okay, Sid. I am sure the rest of the Big Ten will be sweating out tomorrow's game knowing that a Gopher win over Central Michigan will put them in the driver's seat for a Big Ten championship run in 2016. What about Nebraska's win over a Power 5 team? Does that put them a leg ahead?
