Mrs Bayfield listened to the show on the way home this morning. I found it interesting that about 3/4 of the calls were about the Gopher game and ZERO calls about the Queens/Pack/Farve! I seldom get to listen to the show but the same can be said of the other three shows I have listened to this Fall.

So what gives? Is the show a reasonable barometer of the sports interest of TC fans? Or just a freakish event. Most here lament the fact that the Gophers rank behind the Queens, Twins and Wild when it comes to interest. But the call ins don't support that as its mostly Gopher talk.

Unfortunately not a barometer of the football fans in this state.

90% of the football fans in the state were beginning to tune in to a different AM station to listen to the Vikings pregame extravaganza.

Please don't let the Vikings stadium bill pass.

Vikings pregame at 10am? 11am or 12noon? Sorry, but I disagree.

Maybe the Queens crowd were all in church!

May have something to do with the fact WCCO broadcasts the Gopher games, but not the Vikings games. May sound like a stretch to think they would do something like that, but you'd be surprised.

I'm not complaining, just saying.

Don't let the stadium bill pass? Ok whatever you say.

I think

they get more gopher calls because the Tim Brewster show is the lead in. But you would think there would be more viking calls

So why is it funny to imply the Vikings are women Bayfieldgopher? What is so bad about being a woman?

It will pass eventually and the Vikings will be the #1 show in town for decades to come. The Gophers can find a way to succeed despite that and the open gloating Gophers fans exhibit about the prospect of the Vikings moving is ugly and unseemly and only serves to fracture the fanbase.
