In an attempt to mitigate the impact of last week's loss to USD, Sid has already brought up the fact that USD had a convincing 48-14 over something called Northwestern Oklahoma State yesterday. There is still an hour left in the show so he still has time to bring this big Coyotes victory up again a few times.

Go Gophers!!

What got me with Sid and Brew today was that Brew still claims "we're doing everything right." He also believes that he is not running out of time. Geez, someone needs a reality check. He has also said, I believe it was in the paper, that they knew running against USC was going to be like hitting cement, but you have to believe in what you're doing and keep doing it. At 2.2 yards a carry, isn't that the definition of a crazy person - doing the same thing and expecting different results? He also revealed that the team had another goal - besides the lofty goal of getting two first downs each drive. He said they went into the game wanting the USC team to respect them, and he thinks they accomplished that. Brew is drinking too much of his own Koolaid.

You think Ohio State just wanted USC's respect? How our programs have different standards after all that Rose Bowl talk...

play to win or don't play at all.....done and done

Brew knows he's not going to win another game this year-he's trying make each game close or appear so in order to make a case for -you guessed it-"we're one year away", "we are so close" etc...seen that movie before

He's too cozy with Grandpa Sports. Grandpa Sports was the greatest shill to get the Gophers in to the Metrodome. Anyone who feels that they need to gain his approval, just wants the program to suck, imho.

What would you expect Brewster to say? "I suck. The team sucks. I should have been fired at the end of last year."

I didn't hear the Brewster/Sid exchange. Did hear Sid say South Dakota was better than advertised, but that shouldn't matter. We should have beaten South Dakota.

I can barely listen to Sid anymore. It's just too darn sad. He's never been Mr. Coherent and I've never really liked his blind homerism. But he is a legend and it's sad to listen to him take 30 seconds to a minute to try and construct a simple question or statement.

Amazing how the ramblings of a 90 year old man affect so many people.

You make it seem like people are paying attention to the ramblings of a 90 year old man sitting on his porch. As long as he has media access, people are going to pay attention, how old he is doesn't matter a bit.

Sid will always be Sid, so why is this even news? Just like Reusse will do his thing. Not really a surprise.

So you can get into his head? Just because he says those things doesn't mean he actually believes it himself. What's he supposed to say, "I fighting for my job right now"? For the sake of our team, I'm glad he's saying those things.

I agree with most that it's looking more and more like Brewster is not the guy, but some of you are nitpicking every little thing he does/says. I'm surprised someone hasn't made a comment about how he wore his cap on Saturday or something.
