Was at the game last night, and spent much of the second half wondering why Craig Moore was on the Wildcat bench. Not sure that he played a minute in the second half, and can say for sure he didn't touch the floor inside of 16 minutes remaining. Injury of some sort? Was anything mentioned during the broadcast? Also saw that Coble only played 22 minutes to compliment Moore's 18. Both these guys normally play about 30-35 minutes/game.

FWIW, Moore was getting pretty emotional early in the game. When he hit his three pointer amid chants of "airball" from the student section, he turned and pointed back as if he were playing against the students. When he committed his second foul, Carmody had to talk him down the entire time the Gophers were shooting free throws.

P.S. What's the statue of limitations on an "airball" chant? The one directed at Moore seemed to go on forever, even after his shot began drawing iron.

I believe Carmody decided that Moore wasn't mentally in the game.

On the inbounds play after a timeout, Moore ran the baseline when attempting to pass the ball in. However, the previous play was not a Gopher basket, but a tip out of bounds (thus he wasn't allowed to run the baseline), so it was a bad, bad turnover.

Carmody looked utterly disgusted with the play, and didn't even look at him when he ran to the bench.

He didn't go back in after that.

P.S. There is absolutely no SoL on an "airball" chant. If anything, it just serves as a reminder to the player...if it even plants a .00001% of doubt in their mind when they line up to take a shot, the chant has worked.

A buddy said BTN mentioned that Moore and Coble had a touch of flu. Maybe they were rested when the game got out of hand.
