for the UM job.

"Sources said UM is considering a salary upwards of $3 million for Gruden, although Gruden has reportedly said he'd only return to an NFL job and isn't ready to leave ESPN yet. Even if Gruden isn't available, the new coach will be paid between $2-3 million. Others in serious consideration, according to Navarro, are Georgia's Mark Richt, who has said he's not interested, former USF coach Jim Leavitt, former UM offensive coordinator Marc Trestman now with the Montreal Alouettes, and former Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen."

Any chance ESPN screwed up and confused Miami with Minnesota?

Two Reusse tweets:

"Dead-set against Marc Trestman before Mason was hired in Dec. 1996. I'd take him now, after he's proven himself as head coach in Montreal."

"Trestman would recruit hell out of MN & surroundings, find some skill guys in FLA and, as we learned with Brewster, Xs and Os do matter."

Go Gophers!!

Hasn't it already been determined that Trestman's contract in Montreal is pretty much ironclad for another season, and he's not going to be able to get out of it?
