He has a reputation as a good thrower, but he missed some wide open receivers on potential big gainers a la Gray against UNLV.

Is he as good a thrower as we seem to think he is?

I really disliked the play calling today. It was very predictable. Very vanilla play calling. Also, there were very few intermediate pass plays. It was either a pass to the sideline or a 30 yard bomb. I do not know why we do not do more slants or 7 yard in routes. Also, I would like to see more passing on 1st down. We must run 90% of the time on first. Very easy for the defense when they know your play call coming up to the the line of scrimmage. As a result we often time end up throwing away our fist play of the series.
