"The Gophers men's basketball team, working to replace Trevor Mbakwe and Ralph Sampson III after next season, is recruiting 7-foot, 230-pound Adam Woodbury of East High School in Sioux City, Iowa, and 6-7, 170-pound Jodan Price of Detroit Country Day High.

It looks like Mbakwe, by the way, will play for the U.S. junior national team that competes in the World University Games in China in August.

Sanjay Lumpkin, a 6-6, 190-pound incoming Benilde-St. Margaret's senior, has been offered a basketball tender by Northwestern, and will visit Stanford, Notre Dame and Washington State. The Gophers have expressed little interest in him."

Go Gophers!!

The vast majority of the recruiting information we have received lately points towards the Gophers targeting a C and a big wing with their two open scholarships. I am a little surprised that the Gophers have made adding a C in this class an apparent priority with both Eliason and Walker on the squad as underclassmen (both freshman if you believe some reports). I would think that finding a PF to replace Trevor would be priority number 1, but the staff must either have faith in Ingram holding down that spot as a senior or view Mo Walker as more of a 4 than a 5.

I don't think tubby views posts as 4's or 5's, just posts. Before Trevor we didn't really have a PF, just twin towers, or a SF at the 4. Bottom line Ingram, Walker, Eliason, and Oto won't make an imposing front line next year, we need some top 100 posts in 2012

With the way Tubby substitutes, a center in the 2012 class is imperitive, they have to land one or they will be short handed in the post. Woodbury would be awsome, I always assumed they had no chance but maybe they do.
