i don't see how firing an assistant in the middle of the season does any good. In fact it would probably do more harm than good.

I'd be very surprised if Shooter meant that this would happen during the season, but more likely means after the season, with Vince Taylor likely the odd man out as his personal connections with Tubby aren't as strong and Saul or Jirsa.

Though we can change all of the assistants we want, but if Tubby isn't open to new ideas it won't matter.

I'm not sure if Taylor's the guy we could least afford to lose. Isn't he the best recruiter on the staff?

Why is Jirsa such a sacred cow?
 

If I had $0.50 for every time Shooter was wrong, I would have never had to pay for the Pioneer Press.
 


The only way an assistant coaching change would help Tubby is if that assistant coach was tied to some star player (ala Beasley scenario at KSU). No changes in X's and O's will matter next year if we are still without a go to scorer, power forward, and point guard.
