Shooter: Royce White plans to operate the Howard Pulley pro-am summer league

Fine, as long as he doesn't have to fly anywhere.

I wonder how much of that $3 million he has left. Probably not very much.

Man the kid could have made so much money. Sad. I hope he eventually pulls it together.

This bodes very poorly for the league. I hope this is untrue.

If he's paying his child support, he's broke.

How many children does he have?

Well, a quick Yahoo search brought up numerous kids/baby mama counts for various athletes and the best for him so far is 5/5. He's a baller! :cool02:

i hope he moves it back to the Sal in St Paul and the guy that makes the caramel corn is still working

Back at the Sal would be great! Contact your close personal friend Royce.

oh, you know he still reads this forum.

The more i think about it, this might be fun. He can be the organizer. He will probably be able to attract some talent that will show up and play hard. And as a bonus, he can be the half-time entertainment and put on a show. Don't count on the games starting on time though

I sat behind Rene Pulley and the entire Howard Pulley squad on a flight Sunday night. Should have asked him.

All it says is that Royce White plans on operating the league next year. Are his plans similar to my plans to coach the Gopher hockey team within the next 5 years, or is the league actually on board?

Was there Pulley last summer? I honestly don't know.

Nope (from last year)-

per Shooter:

The Howard Pulley pro-am summer basketball league will take this year off. Replacing it at the High Performance Academy in Eagan will be an American Basketball Association league, which will begin June 21. The ABA will have a four-point field goal.

Tryouts for the ABA league will be Saturday morning at Crystal Community Center.

Anyone heard anything about this yet? Doesn't it typically start in June?

So did this league happen? I don't recall seeing a single report about it. Did Royce get the league up and running?

Nope, don't think so... but sucked so bad in the nba summer league he should have. He better try Euro ball if he wants to pay some bills and child support, cuz his NBA chances are probably done.
