Maturi is going to advise on hiring the next AD? Good lord. The man already admits in this article he doesn't have a complete understanding of what it takes to be an AD in the current environment. And now he's going to advise on the next hire? Jeebus, seems folks aren't learning a whole lot up at the U these days. I'd be a lot more happy if old Joel just collected his fat paycheck, yearned for the good ole' days in Madtown, and just stayed away from this and all future hires in athletics.
 

"And I'm more of an academic and more of an educator than I am a business person." Yet the main component of his new gig is to be out and about meeting with potential donors......which are business people. Makes sense.
