Davidson is the son of Vikings offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, who was a captain at Ohio State and whose father also played for the Buckeyes."

He's not originally from MN. He has only lived in MN a year or two if I remember correctly.

He's been in Minnesota less than a year and has never given any indication in that time that he has had any interest what-so-ever in attending the U.
