Former South St. Paul football-hockey star Jim Carter
on Doug Woog, the late Packers former hockey-football star: “When I was a kid in junior high school, I always wanted to be like Doug Woog in hockey and football.”

Go Gophers!!

Woog was a great guy. I ran into him a couple times when he was a broadcaster and he would take time to stop by and chat with fans.

Doug was a great guy. He shared an office with my dad at SSP HS, and he always took time to chat. I have an autographed photo of the 1984 US Hockey Team he gave us: "Everything in life is a miracle--Doug".

Last ran into him at Senser's before a Jerry Kill show with Mark Rosen. Gracious as ever.

2 things are true, jim carter loves scarves, and carter is always available for a quote if shama or shooter come calling

Good person to emulate, but Carter has never held a candle to the Wooger. Doug Woog was one of the nicest and most genuine person's you could meet. Carter is just a brain fart waiting to get released. ?

When he tried the candle thing it caught his scarf on fire.
