Please! He is an ineffective coach and recruiter. I have seen him scouting at high school games where he hardly watches the game and spends more time chatting with the people (usually ladies) around him. I don't think it is any coincidence the program started its steady decline when Guentzel left and Hill took over.

"Don Lucia said he just received a new draft of his proposed Gophers hockey coaching contract, but has not had a chance to study it. Rest assured, Lucia is going to get the contract. He also said John Hill will be back as an assistant coach next season."

This is very good news! Correlation to Guentzel leaving and the Gophers finishing below 4th in conference is pretty tight.
