Is that number from the same time last year or ending number? Lindsay is my favorite Minnesota female athlete ever but she drove the program into the ground. Hard to get over not even being able to bring the ball up court in her last game coaching.
 

Lindsay wasn’t ready for a head coaching position. She did get some good recruits and she did bring excitement for a while.

When Whalen became a Lynx player she told them “if we win they will come” that still is true. Look at the Lynx this season. If (when) the gophers can get some big wins this year. Their attendance will fill up.

Agree that the numbers are good, or at least not bad, given the unattractive home schedule. The Gophers play a weak home non-conference schedule, and then play all of the pre-season top 5 BIG teams (USC, UCLA, OSU, MD & Neb) on the road.

Agreed. Whalen was completely unqualified to coach. Fundraiser hire. Dawn Plitzuweit was a great hire and will have this team competing 1-2 years. Just listen to how well she articulates the game and understands what it takes to win. The barn will be full soon.
 

This team is way more fun to watch than the last several have been. The last two "crowds" have not been inspiring but let's hope the word gets out.
