Can anyone tell me with a straight face that they are confident that Beth Goetz can lead the athletic department right now? And fix the issues with basketball? And deal with the issues with hockey? Let me preface this that this has NOTHING to do with her being a woman. I'd love to find an experienced AD who is a woman. But our basketball program is in crisis. 1 player kicked off the team, 3 suspended for the rest of the season the day after the coach said they'd play. Meanwhile, attendance at games is awful, the team sucks and we have a coach that appears to be in over his head. Are you confident that Beth can make the right decision on Pitino's future (be it this year or next), make the right hire to turn this around and get the fans engaged again? She has no history of hiring or firing major sport coaches (Claeys not withstanding and his circumstances were not normal). I want an AD (man or woman) that has a proven track record in turning around major programs, getting fans engaged.

OK, I'll go for it. First, you need to lighten up. She's been successful at all her stops. Top ADs had to start somewhere and then be given a chance to take the lead. No different than in business. Yes, Bball team has become a dumpster fire, and Pitino may not be ready for the big time. How is that her doing? He'll get to the end of the season and then he will get evaluated. If they keep him, the leash will be short next year.

They will get good interest and will have to evaluate her experience and background against the other candidates.
 

What bugs me is that Teague left last summer and here its MARCH and still no sign of naming a new AD. I thought Kaler saw the importance of an effective sports program at the U. What is he thinking. This is is ridiculous especially regarding recent events. Get the HE** in gear.

Sounds like you are against her because she is a Woman.
 



So Men's Hockey and Men's Basketball stink. I'm pretty sure Beth doesn't have any eligibility to play either of those sports. She didn't hire those guys. Not sure she is allowed to fire them and hire someone else. I've no idea why people put that **** on her. Is she supposed to go get some rebounds and score some goals or something?
 

Are you saying basketball needs a Jerry Kill type hire?
