I have a vague recollection that SelectionSunday made a pick early in the season but can't locate it right now. I know he had 0 points going into today's event. And, I know you can ask him just 'bout any question on NCAA Div basketball and he'll either know the answer or be pretty darned close.

So today, another accolade: SelectionSunday wins today's "Predict the Score" event with a prediction of a 36-6 win by tOSU -- a 3 point variance from the 38-7 score.

Here's the top five place finishers with the number of points earned toward the season standings:
1st Place: Selection Sunday (3 pt variance; 15 points awarded)
2nd Place: (tie): Charlesbenjamin & DarrenTheGreek (6 pt variance; 10 points awarded)
3rd Place: (tie): go4rob, Mick Turition and Noonan (7 pt variance; 7 points awarded)
4th Place: runningopher (9 pt variance; 5 points awarded)
5th Place: (tie): Gopher In Qatar, RovertM & Tikited (10 pt variance; 3 points awarded)

And his name now goes on this season's Roll Call of Honor

Forgot to list others who made predictions. These folks predicted an OSU win but were more than 10 points off the actual score and get one participation point:
AShreve20, at the bar, Berget13, book, caligopher, ConferenceChamp, Curseislifted33, Dr.Don, Fej, Frozengopher, Go 31, GoldenGo4Fan, Goldyspop, Gopher07, gopher71runner, Gopher737, gopherjay , gophermanic, LloydChristmas, MKE_Gopher, Maroon, MGGopher, mom8pop, nc2mn , NEGopher, Ole, PlymouthGopherFan, Rick Mons, Schnauzer, schnoodler, Sid Hartman, Ski U Mah Gopher, Threefinesweethams, Winnipegopher,

And these loyal fans predicted a Gopher win but get no points for today's effort:
AhliBobwa, Big Play, diehard, Gopherinphilly, icepirate13, Idagopher, jrb27, marathonman , mggoph, Roy Christensen, SanDiegoPete, wait!what

I was off by exactly 20 points:eek:
Sorry, your prediction and three others didn't get included (rovertM, Maroon and MGGopher). RovertM actually had a 10 point variation so ties for 5th place. You and the others get a participation point.

The standings will be revised shortly.

Nope, you didn't submit it in the correct format

I've made the request for participants to post their predictions in the correct format since the competition began. I ask for this format because it speeds up the data entry and means I don't have to do additional editing, etc. As it is, I end up spending 20-30 minutes a night summarizing the most recent predictions, a half hour or so setting up the next game's posts and spreadsheets to collect data and an hour or so after the game tallying the predictions, calculating the standings, etc.

Since we began this competition, I asked that your moniker and your prediction be on one line in the body of the post.

Yours wasn't.

I changed the format a couple of weeks ago and asked that after your moniker, you indicate the winning team and then the score. I reminded folks of that need at least three times in the thread for the OSU predictions.

Yours wasn't.

I sent either a private message or an e-mail to everyone who -- prior to Friday -- sent in a prediction in the incorrect format. I advised you of the format to follow and asked that you resubmit.

You didn't.

Sorry, hope you enter again (and use the correct format) but there's no revision of the standings.
