Anyone else get patted down on their head today? I got in without a problem today, getting patted down on my hoodie pockets and my jacket pockets, but my sister had ego-trip security guard today at Gate E. Patted down hoodie, jacket, then patted her head where she was wearing a winter hat.

The security guard questioned why she had her keys in her jacket pocket and her phone in another. As far as her head, she supposedly had enough room in the hat to hide something. Her winter hat was snug to her head. I guess this is why we're seeing entrance times take forever.

I really feel like these kinds of measures are more about the appearance of security than anything else. Just let us in. I'll take my chances that nobody has a rocket launcher.

Hmm I walked in in about 10 seconds, 45 minutes before gametime.

Hoody check

The hood of a jacket is the #1 spot kids have been sneaking food and drinks into stadium. I was talking to someone at the state wrestling tournament last year and they said everyone was bringing in stuff in their hood because nobody ever checked. I guess the word must have gotten out on the hood locker.

tnx, stocking hat may be a nice spot for chiefing a flask in.

binoculars

I saw a security guy looking in someone's binoculars. He shook the binoculars and then looked through them. I guess there are fake ones that folks can fill with whatever liquid they like best.

The security pat-downs are getting ridiculous. Not only was I patted down yesterday but I had to unzip my jacket and take off my hat again. Why pat me down if you are going to make me unzip my jacket and open it up anyway?

I went to Ryan Field and US Cellular field in Chicago a couple weeks ago. No pat-downs...just a visual glance to make sure you weren't sneaking in a keg or RPG.
