First off, let me say that the atmosphere last night was incredible!!! My family and I had a great time at the game and I haven't seen my kids have so much fun at a game. However, there were a few things about the people in our section that really brought a damper to the night.

To the guy that yelled at my 11 year old son to sit down, you better hope I never find out who you were. He was trying to get a look at someone we know that sits in the lower half of the stadium and didn't deserve to get yelled at by you.

Also, many of us learned that we have a season ticket holder that sits by us that should prove to be very interesting. He boo'd the Air Force when they came on the field, cheered later on when AF scored a touchdown, actually lit up a cigarette in the stands because they wouldn't let him go out and smoke, had his sister with him that I'm still not sure had a ticket in his row and moved to sit several times, she ended up having an interesting "fit" when people in our row gave him a hard time for cheering for AF and was griping about the Gophers all night long and at one point called them the Minnesota Deckers.

However, to the rest of the people we met in our section: you were awesome and we look forward to the rest of the games with you!!! :D

Sidenote: To the man sitting in front of my husband, we sincerely apologize a million times over for the many times our 6 yeard old daughter accidently kicked you in the back.

If someone in my section lit up a cig, I'd get the usher over and get him kicked out so fast....

There is no excuse for that.

After asking him nicely to put it out a few times, I did threaten to get the security guards. At which point he got annoyed but did put it out.

Wow. We were in 232 and smelled the smoke and wondered what the heck was going on. To be honest, I was afraid this post was about me haha. I drove 4 hours (actually had to have someone drive me) still suffering from food poisoning from the night before just to be at the game. I ended up having to sit 95% of the time, couldn't cheer or talk to anyone at all, had to go out to the bathroom a bunch of times and, worst of all, we had to leave at halftime I felt so horrible. But at least I was there! I figured I must have made a terrible impression on my new neighbors in 232 though. I looked drunk and pathetic but was actually just sick as can be.

Oh well...I made it to the first game and can't wait for more! That view from 232 is simply unbelievable. Let's hope the booing, smoking winner was a one game wonder. What row was he in anyway?

I was in section 232 as well, and my neighbors were all really nice. A good mix of older/younger people and nobody ever yelled at anyone else to sit down or anything which was really nice. Thought the atmosphere was awesome the whole game!

SWMNGO4 - Unfortunately, he was not a one game wonder because as he was leaving he told all of us that he would see us next week. I'm clinging to the hope that he was playing with us but I'm sure I'll see him again this Saturday.

We are in row 10, seats 1-4. He was in row 9 right in front of us (seat 3 or 4?).

Two of my four tickets(for Cal game only) are in section 232 row 9 or 10 I think. Maybe I should bring an extra nicotine inhaler to give him just in case he wants to light up again. Good idea or bad idea?
