I am looking at moving and wanted the opinion of people that sat in these sections this past season as to how it was during the season. I am looking at moving and this was an area I was debating when I selected my seats for last year.

From these sections, can you still see the big scoreboard???
How is the view from the seats there?
Any other info about these sections would be great!!

I sat there for part a game last Fall, didn't try looking at the scoreboard so I can't help there.

View was as good as you would expect being that low, depth perception is an issue. But the majority of the action was on the other end of the field (second half of Purdue game).

The crowd in that area was awesome, section over seemed to be younger and rowdier than where I usually sit. I would recommend that area just based on that alone but keep in mind I was only there for a half of 1 game.

I loved the sections and plan to stay there this year. I don't really feel like I missed out on anything as a lot of the best moments of the year happened right in front of us such as Tripplet's fumble return...it is great to be right there when the players are celebrating. It is definitely not the usual "TV view" with a great view of the formations, but personnally I like having a view/experience more unique to being at the game.

The next section over (148) had a much more lively crowd, however during the November games they were in the shade whereas 149 was still in the sun which made a big difference. There was almost no wind in those sections either since they are set a little lower and glare from the sun was a non-issue.

As far as the big scoreboard you can't really expect to watch much of it since you need to turn completely around. However, those sections have an awesome view of the other scoreboard which is honestly way bigger than the dome's and not full of ads cutting down the screen size like the large one. If I wanted to see stats at any point I could still just briefly turn around and look at those on the big screen.

One downside is the lack of bathrooms, easy entry gates, and concessions. The two entry gates by the open end are (from my observations) the busiest due to their proximity to campus. There is only one very tiny men's bathroom in the lower open part, located right next to the gate entrance, and it always packed because everyone who spent so long waiting in line to get in needs to pee like a racehorse by that point.

As a sidenote if being on TV is at all a difference maker in your decision because it is so close to the goalposts you will be on there a lot and you will be in great position to tell if a fieldgoal was missed before everyone else.

I hope this helps!

Section 151

Our seats are in 151...our section was good. We'd turn around to watch replays but really not a big deal. The biggest problem we had is that lots of season ticket holders must have sold all their tickets as we had lots of people around us that changed from week to week. (Some more fun than others :))

Never had a problem with the lines (we tailgate at Station 19, usually came across the street about 20min before gametime), bathroom, or concessions.

I appreciate all the input. I did inquire with the Ticket Office this afternoon about moving and they said that you have to pay for your season tickets first, and then submit your request to move. Then they wont call you about it and just use their best judgement going with the info on our request. I thought that was kind of ass backwards. You pay then put in your request and stuck with whatever they find you.

I'm in 152 on the aisle and love my seats. The scoreboard isn't an issue if you don't mind turning around. I've attached some images from the SDSU game. Also, in 152 you're in front of the opposing team's cheer squads. My friends and I have ongoing bets to see which school brings the most attractive or those with the most spirit squads. Last year Cal won the attractive and Wisconsin, all though very annoying, won the pool with the most spirit narrowly edging out MSU.

This coming season USC as most attractive is paying 3-2, anyone want in?

I sit with the younger, rowdier crowd in Section 148. I love the views from the seats and it's a blast to be down that close to the field, especially when play is on that end. As mentioned above, you can turn around to see the large scoreboard if you want, but the scoreboard on the opposite end is plenty big. I usually bring a walkman into the games, which is nice when the ball is on the other side of the field. There is very little wind in these sections. The Cal game was brutally warm as we were baking in the sun, but the colder games were very tolerable. I still think you can't go wrong with any seat in the house though.
