Anyone in Twin Cities area (Golden Valley) know where (channel #) to find the SEC Network tomorrow?

611 on DirecTv. One channel after the Big Ten Network, naturally. Still no Pac 10 Network on Directv, not that I care.

Is it being carried in the Midwest on Comcast?

Yes, it's available on Comcast. Not certain, but I'm guessing it's offered as part of the "sports pack", which has channels like ESPN Classic, Pac 12 Network, CBS Sports Network, NBC Sports Network, and the Fox College Sports (FCS) channels. I pay about $9 a month for that package. I'm sure the cost of that sports package will go up within the next couple months because of the addition of the SEC Network.

FYI. If you do get this ESPN owned channel (i.e. aka the sec network), their programming does not actually go live until 6pmET/5pmCT this evening.

Not to be confused with the Fox owned Big 10 Channel

Comcast is also supposed to have SEC Network in HD on channel 960. SEC Network will also be available via WatchESPN.

It shows the clout of ESPN that SEC Network is in HD and widely available from day one. We didn't even get PAC-12 Network in this market during 2012 and since 2013, only in SD.

Fair, to a point. Well at least you don't see FOX plastered all over the BTN like we are seeing with the SEC Network thus far. And FOX seemingly doesn't attempt to exert unfair and undue influence on the polls/playoff selections like we all know E-SPIN will attempt to do in favor of the SEC now that they own their conference network.

With Fox Sports ramping up college football with the Tim Brando to do play by play. They will have a studio show. Do you think they will promote the Pac 12? or Big 10?

Hopefully both!

SEC is up on Direct TV. While we have Dave Revsine former ESPN Anchor SEC is featuring Dari Nowkah. More live cut ins around the league. The best was a cut in from LSU with Mike The Tiger being 9 years old. They noted he rides around the stadium and is housed outside the visitor's locker room. Which would you want to face? The pink locker room at Iowa or a Bengal Tiger outside your locker room.

Yep, I'm getting it in HD on 960 on Comcast. Too early to tell of any quality, but my initial thought was that this looks like ESPN IV.

They have cut in from camp tours on ESPNU with Fowler. They have been on before but are being inserted in the opening night.

My thoughts as well. Feels like just another ESPN addition. Doesn't seem original. At least the BTN has a unique feel to it. Gotta' give it time to evolve, though.

Was thinking the same thing. Feels very cookie cutter. The fact that they are running this whole SEC Network thing out of the ESPN-U office/studio in North Carolina (hey North Carolina, yep that's SEC Country right there!) might have something to do with it. As CW said, it has a very ESPN IV type of feel to it and seems rather forced thus far.

Go Gophers! Ski-U-Mah! Go B1G! :D

Fox owns 51% of the BTN, with the B1G owning 49%.

ESPN owns 100% of the SEC Network.

I watched about 10 minutes of the SEC network yesterday. Those 10 minutes consisted of a very painful interview with Dan Mullen over poor audio, followed by a brief "are we on the air?" moment by the interviewer as Mullen trotted off. Then, all uncut, you could see Mullen's back as he headed out into the practice field as a "Dan Mullen: Miked Up" graphic appeared. It was completely uncut and you could barely hear him over the music that was blaring over the field and he barely said a word.

I'm sure it will get better and I watched all of 10 minutes so it may have been a very poor sample size. However, what I saw would have been something that anyone at ESPN would have cringed to see given their name and four letters are plastered all over everything on the SEC network.

Maybe this was really the debut of "The Ocho"...
