Seat upgrades for 2011-12 (anyone tell me about Section 210 chairbacks?)

Got call from ticket office tonight for seat upgrade. Wasn't able to get my first choice (any Row 1 seats in upper deck with chairback), but was able to get two in Row 2/Section 210 with chairbacks. Figured what the heck, see the game from a different perspective before seats are going to change in 2012-13, anyways.

Anybody out there with chairbacks in 210? Are they decent seats? I've always pretty much surmised that any upper deck seat with a chairback (first few rows) has a pretty good view looking down on the action?

Turned down upgrade

I, too, was offered an upgrade, but turned it down. I am in the first row of benches in section 117. There's a lot of leg room in that row. They wanted to move us across the arena to behind the scorer's table. Still on benches, but in the second row of benches with much less leg room. Just couldn't see sitting with my knees up around my chin. I'm 6'3" and my son, who usually goes with me, is 6'5". Chair seats are just to narrow. Painful for me to fit into between the narrow seats and total lack of leg room.

First time I have been offered an upgrade in 12 years and only time in 35 years I have been consulted about the new seats. Previously I found out I had been upgraded when I got the tickets in late October. This part is clearly an improvement, even if the seats offered were not.

I actually was called yesterday and got row 1 in 202. Sorry.

Only for one season though.

Congrats. Those are some of the best seats in the house. ... chairback on either end of the court in Row 1. Only ones better IMO are upper deck Row 1's at midcourt (Sections 207 or 219).

Sec 210

Sec 210 is a great viewpoint, although it brings back a nightmare for me. I had a pretty good angle when Burleson threw the ball away in the backcourt vs the Illini in 2002. I can still see the look of fear in Rycharts' face as the ball was rolling out of bounds.

Why must people always bring up this basketball game and Michigan 2003 football? Please stop. :(
