Season-ticket renewals came out this morning (via email). Must renew by June 14.

Looks like there will be 20 home games, one more than last season. Am assuming:

2 exhibitions
9 nonconference (1 will be Maui Invitational preliminary game)
9 B1G

This would seem to indicate Richmond will be the Gophers' only true road game prior to the B1G season.

Coming up with an average per-game ticket price of about $30.72? Can't remember what it was per-game last season.

I was in zone 6 last year. It was the cheapest season ticket option (located in the upper end zones). They were 360 dollars/ticket last year. My renewal indicates that they are priced at 529 dollars/ticket. I sent an email to see if zone 6 option disappeared or shrunk in size.

I might not have picked those seats last year had I known the price would rise so much after one year.

Your confirmation number is #######.

I feel much better about this years renewal than last years. With a parking pass and an $800 donation it ends up being $58.00 per seat and still feels like a bargain during the B1G season.

You're falling for the bait-and-switch.

Step 1: Advertise X number of home games
Step 2: Customers calculate average cost per ticket based on X games and fixed donation for season
Step 3: Customers pay
Step 4: Schedule released with X-1 or X-2 games.
Step 5: Customers given option to donate (default) or get refund for cost of that ticket only (not part of donation)
Step 6: Customers don't realize that actual cost per ticket has now gone up from original estimate

Bruce, I always figure that in once the home schedule is officially released. Don't have the numbers in front of me, but last night I figured out I'm paying about 60 cents extra per game from last season.

Last season it was roughly $475 (after getting refund for not-played 20th game)/19 = $25 per game. The totals I came up with for 2013-14 were $512/20 = $25.60 per game.

That's about right. Of course, it's more if you're paying the big bucks.

The email response to my inquiry:
Thank you for your email. Because of this change, you will have the chance to move early next week. You will be receiving a call from someone in our office regarding this. I apologize for the confusion. Thanks and go gophers!</SPAN>

Still kind of sucks.
