Tom Lemming's MaxPreps just said that Minnesota is no longer in contention and that it is down to Florida State (I thought it was Florida), USC and Ohio State. Take it for what it's worth.

thats a shocker...I thought it was florida too...hmmm well im hoping for FSU just so we dont have to see him beat on our D-line for the next 2 years or every year for the next 3.

No more dreams of playing college football and basketball then for Mr. Henderson?

Too bad...but probably for the best that he's letting this be known early, so all the talk isn't about losing out on Seantrel when the class finally comes in.

I have the same wish for him that I had for James Laurinaitis, may you never win a national championship. So far I'm 1-0.

Do you have a link for this?

I would think if there was any sort of solid evidence Minnesota was out of the running, there'd be a little more than a floating rumor there to prove it. Minnesota bloggers and sports writers would be going nuts over it. Dubbing it another failure by Brewster.

Do you have a link for this?

tj - No, I do not have a link. I saw it on TV, Dish Network channel 152 (CSTV) here in MG. Not saying it's true, just what they said on the show. Last night they featured offensive tackles and they still had him rated as #1.

Florida State is sinking fast at 2-3. Even Florida recruits are bailing on them. This must be bad info. UF would be plausible.

IF true.. I wish the young man nothing but an average career.

I got a hunch the three tickets Henderson has in his wallet are all printed USC.

GRRRRR how dare this 18 year old kid not come play for my crappy team and instead go somewhere he'll have a chance to catch the eye of NFL scouts and compete for championships.

This is just hearsay of speculation and is refuted by the claimed original source of the speculation. .MaxPreps continues to list Minnesota on Seantrel's list, in fact TWICE (maybe that's a good sign):

1. Seantrel Henderson
Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN) OL/DL 6-8/330 MN, OH, MN, OH STATE, OK, USC, FL, FSU, and LSU

Seantrel we'd love to see you in Maroon & Gold. You'll be a great pro no matter where you play. You'd be another player at USC or at Florida, you'd be a legend in your home state.

Seantrel still has Gophers on his list

Minnesota still is on Seantrel's list

Tom Lemmings of MaxPreps who someone suggested claimed Seantrel has limited his choices to three schools other than Minnesota turns out is nothing more than unsubstantiated hearsay and speculation. FSU? What a joke. Bowden's own players are calling him out. Who would go there?

If he comes here, Brew will play him in his redshirt juniior year

He's going to be gone next year and replaced by Jimbo Fisher. Their defense is going to be uh interesting, but they have a ton of offensive talent that should be blossoming there soon. It might not be a bad situation.

Okay, this is one of the most pathetic posts in awhile (and that is really saying something). NFL scouts will not see him playing for Minnesota?? We've been on national TV for every game. In this spring's NFL draft, an offensive lineman from Baylor University was taken in the first round!

FSU's offense will almost certainly be a better showcase for him than Minnesota. Not just in terms of exposure but it's easier for great players to excel when they're surrounded by other great players.

Say what you will about FSU but they should have a very talented offensive squad the next few years.

Looking at each team's history of channeling players to the draft FSU looks like the better destination. Hopefully Henderson doesn't see it that way.

Either way I don't think you can get angry at him for making the choice he thinks is best for him.

He was at the game today, i talked to him and said you would be are starting Tackle at this moment, and a huge smile came up on his face. I would say we are still in the running at a slim chance, this is the 2nd game he has been at at TCF ...so we are definitely not "out of it"

this is a stupid post! nfl scouts find talent when talent is available no matter the school! I think it be more impressive if henderson stayed home and dominated osu, psu, wis, mich, etc compared to going to usc and dominating oregon st, wash st, ucla etc! henderson will be an all american and an nfl prospect if he goes to u of mn duluth he is a stud! good luck to him
