I'll pose this question on the basketball board because Sally's is in my pregame rotation along with the Big Ten and Raising Cane's.

Is Sally's gone permanently, or are they rebuilding on the same site?

The vietnamese place near Raising Cane's is excellent, cheap, and always empty. Just don't tell anyone.

Post game pho is always tasty.

Still a Stub and Herb's fan but do miss Sally's. hope the year goes quick so we can see the new place. I have never been to Raising Canes. Is it more like fast food chicken?

I must not get out much. See that Raising Cane's is actually a chain.

Fried, and more fried.

Wow, Sally's and Stub & Herb's are still there?? Those were my haunting grounds 20 years ago as a student, figured they'd be long gone by now!

It will change your life

Agree about Cane's. It's not your typical pregame venue (doesn't have the "game-night" atmosphere I prefer), but the chicken, fries, and special sauce are worth it. Rarely have to wait long, either.

We went to the Big Ten after the scrimmage Friday night and it was dead. Couldn't believe it, as a student in the 80's, this place was packed on the weekends. Either students are studying Friday nights, or maybe everyone is in Dinkeytown. Good news, the subs are still as good as back in the day.
