Back after the bye, the Gophers' chances look to be improving in terms of bowl-eligibility, but some tough ones on the horizon. Illinois goes into "likely win" territory after their tank versus Purdue. Northwestern and Iowa remain the true toss-up games.
This week, I've noted the PREDICTOR spreads as well, in blue, to see a comparison. Most games align well at this point, with the notable exception of Iowa.
Week 6 can be found here.
As always, these are for entertainment purposes only.
I take the GOLDEN_MEAN score, found here, and add the home-field advantage to the home team to come up with predicted spreads/favorites.
vs Northwestern -1.5 (-1.5)
vs Purdue -13 (-13.5)
@ Illinois -12 (-9)
vs Iowa +0.5 (-4)
vs Ohio State +8.5 (+9)
@ Nebraska +9.5 (+13.5)
@ Wisconsin +15 (+12)
Predicted Record 7-5 (4-4)
Likely wins (>6 point difference in favor of Minnesota): vs Purdue, @ Illinois
Likely toss-ups (within 6 points): vs Northwestern, vs Iowa
Likely losses (>6 point difference in favor of opponent): vs Ohio State, @ Nebraska, @ Wisconsin
