Sadly, the ratings were pretty much spot on last week, predicting a 22 point TCU victory. Was it a fluke? Week 3 can be found here.

Regardless, our outlook on the season is still not bad, with poor performances across the conference. Still surprised about Northwestern being favored at TCF but they will likely adjust after they play another game. Michigan could also move into "toss-up" territory by 9/27, with a tough game against Utah on the horizon and a potential opportunity for us to outperform the model against SJSU at home.

As always, these are for entertainment purposes only.

I take the GOLDEN_MEAN score, found here, and add the home-field advantage to the home team to come up with predicted spreads/favorites.

vs. SJSU -6.5
@ Michigan +6.5
vs Northwestern +3.5
vs Purdue -11
@ Illinois -1
vs Iowa -6
vs Ohio State +13.5
@ Nebraska +17.5
@ Wisconsin +28.5

Predicted Record 6-6 (3-5)

Likely wins (>6 point difference in favor of Minnesota): SJSU, Purdue
Likely toss-ups (within 6 points): vs Northwestern, @ Illinois, vs Iowa
Likely losses (>6 point difference in favor of opponent): @ Michigan, vs Ohio State, @ Nebraska, @ Wisconsin

Interesting that after receiving the beat down we did, that we are touchdown favorites over Iowa. We still need to outperform Sagarin, if we play well in conference play, I can forgive Saturday's game, but a losing conference record in the worst major conference coupled with a shellacking by our only big conference out of conference opponent would be an unsuccessful season in my opinion. Also, how is Ohio State still 13.5 point favorites over us?
