Wow, Ryan had two monster open field tackles in the second half, both for 4 yard loses!! Those were two critical plays and it's great for our seniors to have such a big impact on their last game of the year.

I can't wait until GopherSports.com puts post-game locker-room video footage up!!

Go Gophers!!

another player who has taken a lot of heat on the boards over the years but always left it all on the field and, pound for pound, is the best tackler on this gopher team.

He should start the Collado Institute for Higher Tackling Studies.

Yep, Collado has taken a lot of deserved heat, but I think it's pretty clear that he's the most improved Gopher over the course of his career that I've seen in awhile. He went from a liability to an asset. That's big. He had a monster game today. Congratulations, Ryan!

I've noticed that too. He took a ton of heat, and he did make mistakes early on in his career, but Collado took some huge steps beginning last year and slowly became one of my favorite players on the field. Can't praise the guy enough.

Collado is one of those players that I initially saw and was almost certain he would go the way of Curtis Thomas, but he worked himself into a decent player (flawed but decent).

Collado would have been a very solid gopher if the recruiting of DBs would have been to the point where he was never more than a dime or nickel corner.
The problem was he was asked to do things he was not physically capable of because of the failures of the staff to have someone better on the roster.

Great game by Collado...loved seeing him knife through for those huge TFLs!

Great kid, not a cover corner. Can't be one on one with big receivers, but a great specail teams player, and good tackler. If he would have been 3 inches taller and 20 punds heavier would have been a terrific strong safety.
