Nice line for Sampson

3-3 FG and 3-4 FT for 9 points
5 boards
5 blocks
3 assists
?? steals

Keep it up Sampsss!

He was awesome in the second half. Westbrook came up big with some points but Sampson's all around 2nd half effort was really big, came up with some big blocks, big boards.

Sampson has stepped it up big time and could be a major reason that we'll knock off Mich. State tomorrow. He is so improved over the last time we played them....

Has Sampson won the battle for low post? What's happened to Iverson?

He has. Sampson has become a two way player whereas Iverson is having difficulty on offense while playing scrappy defense.

Iverson had a great first half off of the bench two. I'm loving the twin towers of the future!

Tubby sat Colton after he picked up his third foul. But Colton had a very nice game .. 4pts (including the steal and breakaway slam) 3 steals and 2blks ... Not bad for 13 minutes of pt. He still has to protect the ball when he's away from the basket...had 2 TO's that hurt.

Yeah, Sampson looked great. Iverson didn't look bad either, though he still has a turnover problem. Iverson looked very good on D, and as always, had a good move or two down low. Once again, the problem lies in our ability to get them the ball consistently.

Iverson has to learn to take care of the ball. He lacks an awareness of where the defenders are around him. Everytime he loses the ball Tubby pulls him. He also has some flagerant fouls from time to time.

I think he is going to be a very good big man. But, maybe not a starter.

Sampson was terrible in the first half offensively and especially defensively. Second half he really turned it on and played great. DJ set him up nicely on that lob...and when they FINALLY fed him inside against the 1-3-1 he got that big 3 point play.
