but it would behoove the Gophers to win one of their next two to remain on solid NCAA footing. I like the Gophers' remaining schedule because we have anywhere from 3-5 more opportunities for top-50ish type wins, 4 of which will be played at The Barn.

Sky is not falling yet, despite the ugly L last night. Gophers (as of this morning) still have the 4th-best RPI in the Big Ten, a conference that has 7 teams in the top 50. To this point the Gophers are 1-4 vs. the top teams in the Big Ten. That needs to improve down the stretch, with or without Al. I'm still targeting Al for a Feb. 22 return vs. Michigan State.

RPI Through Games Played Feb. 2
4. Ohio State
11. Purdue
21. Wisconsin
26. Gophers
35. Illinois
44. Michigan State
47. Penn State

Has there been any indication that Nolen can make it back by Feb. 22?

SS, I hope you are right about Al. I think even if he sees only limited action it would raise the spirits of the Gophers. Maybe every other 4 minutes would offer relief to Blake.

Al returning?

Feb 22nd return date? Is that your heart talking, or has that date been reported by some reliable inside source?
