I truly believe that if the Gophers have Royston playing yesterday that we would have beat USC or it would have been very close. That was a freshman getting beat on those long passes. I think Theret being back helped and Royston would have made the difference.

The history of the Gophers has been that they are not deep enough to overcome injuries. Where one or two players out might not make a difference on a team like Ohio State or USC. It does make a difference on the Gophers and it has.

I can't remember his name right now but if the Gophers hadn't lost that safety to an injury in the Penn State game that Glen Mason would still have his job. He was that good and made that big a difference to the defense.

Brandan Owens? I think that may be his name anyways but he was a solid safety pre-injury!

LOL! Royston is an OK player at best and nothing more than Sconny sloppy seconds. He is not a game changer.

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Thanks Ski-U- Mah

I couldn't think of his name. During the years of his injury the Gophers lost a lot of games that were close enough that he would have made a difference. I think Royston is quite a bit better right now than #24. I think in time he will be a solid Big 10 player but right now his inexperience has hurt his play a bit. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Royston gets burned that badly. Places like Gopherhole have lots of speculation and I am doing some speculating. Feel free to disagree.

Really? Tell me which part of my statement is inaccurate. Please. Enlighten me.

Your entire post makes you sound like a hateful fool. Just as virtually every post you have made makes you sound like a hateful fool.

Royston flipped the Gophers off. It was only when he realized he wasn't good enough to play for Wisconsin that he came crawling back.

I guess the truth hurts eh?

You and "the truth" are rarely in the same room.

What you fail to understand is that you did not make some grand statement that was based in fact in any way shape or form. You expressed your own narrow minded opinion, and like most of the opinions I have read from you, it further proves that you are clueless and an @sshole.

I don't know about the USC game(tend to lean to the no side) but I firmly believe if we would have had both of our starting S's from the start we would be 2-1 at worst. You just can't replace all of that experience so easily.

Not to be an I told you so but.....I said Kyle would make tremendous diifference. Because he doesn't fit some folks idea as to what a starting D1 S looks like folks are quick to bench him in lieu of someone else.

Speaking of new editions, don't forget the contribution and difference Brock Vereen made. I thought he played like a veteran.

Is that what happened? I heard it was his father who "flipped" the gophers off. I also heard he played in every game (26) he was at Wisconsin except 1 (he was injured). I also heard the coach at Wisconsin didn't want him to leave so he wouldn't give him his release.

While I dont think he would have won the game for MN, I do think he would have been a major upgrade. He is a quality B10 player.
